Cheapest Prop Firms 2026 — Ranked Two Ways

Every "cheapest prop firms" list ranks by ticket price and stops there. That is half the truth: a $13 challenge with $60 of drawdown room can cost you more, per dollar of room to trade with, than a $29 challenge with $300. So this page ranks both ways — the lowest tickets first, then what each fee actually buys you in loss room — using only prices checked on the firms' own pages on 23 October 2026 and discount codes we have tested at real checkouts. The numbered list runs by ticket price; the table below re-ranks the same plans by what each fee buys in drawdown room.

How this list works: Firms cannot pay for a position. Promo prices are labelled as promos with their check date; list prices are labelled as list. Full testing method: How We Rate.
1

Maven Trading

Lowest tickets among the firms we have fully reviewed — from $13

The cheapest entry among the firms we have fully reviewed: the 3-Step starts at $13 list (2K account), the 1-Step and Instant models at $15, and the checkout-tested 10K 1-Step is $37. Eight models share the ladder, so a small budget still gets a choice of shapes. Our code PROPDEALHUB takes 10% off — verified at Maven's checkout ($37.00 → $33.30).

⚠ Watch out: the cheapest ticket buys the least room — the $13 3-Step's maximum loss is 3% of $2,000, just $60, across three phases. Maven's code also cannot be combined with other discounts, and EAs are banned across the firm.

2

The5ers

Cheapest room per dollar

High Stakes NEW starts at $19 (2.5K) and Classic at $22 — and both carry a 10% maximum loss, i.e. $250 of room. On cost per $100 of room ($7.60 and $8.80) nothing else on this page comes close. Bootcamp spreads its fee instead: $22 down on the smallest plan, $72 in total.

⚠ Watch out: each High Stakes step needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5%, the daily loss is a hard equity breach measured at the day rollover, and Bootcamp's low entry is a down payment — the balance falls due when you pass each stage.

3

FXIFY

Cheap instant + a cheap 3-phase

Two cheap doors: Instant Lite from $19 (2.5K) if you want no evaluation at all, and the Three Phase evaluation marketed from $39. Our 10% discount applies via link and is checkout-verified ($89.00 → $80.10) — there is no type-in code, whatever other sites claim.

⚠ Watch out: Instant Lite's 4% trailing limit on $2,500 is $100 of total room, it is manual-only with no news or weekend trading, and the full per-size price ladders live only in FXIFY's checkout configurator — confirm your size's fee there.

4

FundingPips

Cheapest real 5K — $29

The 2 Step Pro at $29 for a 5K account is the lowest price on this page for a full-size starter account at a major firm, with a 6% maximum loss ($300 of room — $9.67 per $100). Splits run 80–100% across its five models, and the firm's own sales discount further, irregularly.

⚠ Watch out: there is no partner code for FundingPips — anyone selling you one is inventing it. The Striking System and Profit Concentration Policy apply, and the Phase-2 target is stated inconsistently across the firm's own pages (8% in the Help Center).

5

FundedNext

Promo pricing + a tested code

The Lite 5K was $29.99 on promo at our check, the Instant 2K $49.99 on promo (list $59.99) — and FundedNext is one of the few firms where a partner code genuinely works: PROPDIS gives 7% off CFD, up to 50% off Futures in our FundedNext test, checkout-verified by us (Stellar 2-Step $100K $549.99 → $511.49, 26 Oct 2026).

⚠ Watch out: the headline prices are promos, not the list — check what the same plan costs today before comparing. Profits from trades opened around high-impact news are capped at 40% on all CFD plans.

6

Topstep

Cheapest futures route — if you pass fast

Futures on a subscription: the 50K Combine is $49/month (plus a $149 activation when you pass; a $95/month path skips the activation). Pass in your first month and it is the cheapest futures evaluation here; the end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks at your starting balance is also the most forgiving model in futures.

⚠ Watch out: the meter runs monthly — six slow months cost $294 before activation, more than most one-time fees on this page. Budget for your realistic timeline, not your best case. Full breakdown in our futures list.

The Honest Table: What Each Fee Buys in Drawdown Room

Ticket price divided by the maximum loss the account allows — the lower, the more trading room each dollar buys. Every input is from the firm's own pages, checked 23 Oct 2026.

PlanFeeAccountMax loss (room)Cost per $100 of room
The5ers High Stakes NEW$19$2,50010% = $250$7.60
The5ers High Stakes Classic$22$2,50010% = $250$8.80
FundingPips 2 Step Pro$29$5,0006% = $300$9.67
IC Funded 2-Step$74$5,00010% = $500*$14.80
Maven 1-Step$15$2,0005% trailing = $100$15.00
FXIFY Instant Lite$19$2,5004% trailing = $100$19.00
Maven 3-Step$13$2,0003% = $60$21.67

*IC Funded's 10% maximum is the figure on its own homepage card; the firm does not publish whether that drawdown is static or trailing, and its pages conflict on the profit split — see our IC Funded review before treating it as the bargain it appears. Room is not everything: daily-loss limits, target size and time limits decide how usable the room is.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest prop firm account you can buy?

On list prices checked 23 Oct 2026, Maven's 3-Step at $13 (2K account) is the lowest ticket we found at any reviewed firm, with its 1-Step and Instant models at $15. The5ers' High Stakes NEW ($19) and FXIFY's Instant Lite ($19) follow. Whether the cheapest ticket is the cheapest choice depends on the room it buys — see the table above.

Are very cheap challenges a false economy?

They can be. A tiny account leaves tiny room: one normal losing day can end a 2K account, and repeat fees add up past the price of one 5K challenge. The honest comparison is fee per $100 of drawdown room, plus how the firm's rules (daily limits, profitable-day requirements, consistency) fit how you actually trade.

Do discount codes work on the cheapest plans?

The ones we list do, because we tested them at real checkouts: PROPDEALHUB takes 10% off at Maven (no stacking with other discounts), PROPDIS gives 7% off CFD, up to 50% off Futures in our FundedNext test, and FXIFY's 10% applies via our link only. FundingPips and The5ers run their own sales instead — any third-party "code" for them should be treated as unproven.

What is the cheapest futures prop firm?

Topstep's 50K Combine at $49/month is the lowest entry if you pass quickly (plus $149 activation on passing). Apex's one-time fees, bought during one of its frequent deep sales, can be the lowest single payment. Both are compared in our futures list.
