FundedNext
Best all-round choiceFour CFD models (Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step, Lite and Instant) plus a futures line, with promo entry from $29.99 on the Lite 5K (promos change — re-check at checkout). The widest choice of evaluation shapes here, and our code PROPDIS (7% off CFD, up to 50% off Futures in our FundedNext test) is checkout-verified.
⚠ Watch out: profits from trades opened around high-impact news are capped at 40% on all CFD plans, and FundedNext's own pages disagree on the Lite minimum trading days (2 vs 5) — both flagged in our review.
2
FTMO
Most established nameOperating since 2015 out of Prague, with a free 14-day trial before you pay anything. 2-Step from €89, 1-Step from €79, and an Instant line; the 2-Step fee is refunded with your first reward. Minimum payout is just $20 by bank/card.
⚠ Watch out: on funded Standard and Instant accounts, opening or closing trades within ±2 minutes of high-impact news is banned (Swing accounts are exempt), and the 1-Step and Instant drawdowns trail — read the fine print in our review.
3
The5ers
Best for scaling upOperating since 2016 and built around growth: High Stakes starts at $19 (NEW, 2.5K), the Growth programs double your account at every 10% milestone up to $4M, and Bootcamp spreads the fee across stages. News trading and weekend holding are allowed.
⚠ Watch out: each High Stakes step needs 3 profitable days of at least 0.5%, the daily loss is a hard equity breach, and the funded inactivity limit is stated as both 30 and 60 days in different firm pages — re-confirm at checkout.
4
FundingPips
Cheapest serious 2-stepFive models from $29 (2 Step Pro, 5K), profit splits of 80–100%, and a Zero model that pays 95% bi-weekly with no evaluation at all. Discounts here are the firm's own frequent sales — there is no partner code, and we say so rather than invent one.
⚠ Watch out: the Striking System penalises scattered trading, a Profit Concentration Policy caps how much one day can contribute, and the Phase-2 target is stated differently across the firm's own pages (8% in the Help Center; 6% only on third-party sites).
5
Maven Trading
Most models, incl. instant & BNPLEight models from $13 list: 1-Step, 2-Step, 3-Step, Instant Funding, a $5-upfront Buy Now Pay Later plan, OMO, and a prediction-market line. Our code PROPDEALHUB (10% off) is checkout-verified ($37.00 → $33.30).
⚠ Watch out: EAs are banned, the firm's Terms and homepage footer name two different legal entities (UAE vs Saint Lucia), and the Instant Mini plan allows exactly one payout inside a single 24-hour window — details in our review.
6
FXIFY
Most flexible evaluation rulesA London firm with seven programs from $39: on the evaluations, EAs, news trading and weekend holding are all allowed, the first payout is on demand, and the fee returns with it. Our 10% discount applies via link only — checkout-verified ($89.00 → $80.10).
⚠ Watch out: the Instant tiers flip every one of those freedoms (manual-only, no news, no weekends), payouts run through RISE only with a $50 minimum, and FXIFY's own pages conflict in eight places — all listed in our review.
Side-by-Side: All Eight Forex Firms We Have Reviewed
The six ranked above, plus the two remaining forex firms with full reviews on this site.
Two honest caveats: IC Funded's own pages give three different profit splits (up to 90% / fixed 80/20 / 75→80%) and never state the max-drawdown type — our IC Funded review shows the conflict rather than choosing one. SabioTrade now calls itself a ‘Simulated Trading Lab’ whose payouts are discretionary "Performance Rewards" under its Terms §5 — read the SabioTrade review before the 30% code tempts you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cheapest way to start with a forex prop firm?
On list prices checked 23 Oct 2026: Maven's 3-Step starts at $13 (2K account), The5ers High Stakes NEW at $19 (2.5K), FundingPips 2 Step Pro at $29 (5K) and FundedNext's Lite promo at $29.99 (5K; promos change — re-check at checkout). Small accounts have small drawdown room — the cheapest ticket is not always the cheapest path to a payout.
Which forex prop firms allow news trading?
The5ers and FXIFY (evaluations) allow it outright. FundedNext allows trading but caps news-window profits at 40% on CFD plans. FTMO bans trades within ±2 minutes of high-impact news on funded Standard and Instant accounts; its Swing account is exempt. Maven's Terms ban Red Folder windows on most models, with some exemptions — per-model detail is in our reviews.
Which firms allow EAs and bots?
FXIFY allows EAs on its evaluation programs (not on Instant). Maven bans EAs outright. SabioTrade bans EAs, bots and copiers. Always check the specific model — the same firm often runs opposite rules on different plans.
Are these real-money trading accounts?
No. Every firm on this page runs simulated evaluations, and the funded stage is simulated capital under the firm's own terms — payouts are performance rewards paid by the firm, not withdrawals from a live brokerage account. That is exactly why the rulebook matters more than the headline split.
