FundingPips' five models differ enough that the model you pick matters more than the firm-level comparison — the full breakdown, with the target conflict sourced, is in our FundingPips review; FTMO's other models are in the FTMO review.
The five differences that actually decide it
1. Price — FundingPips wins every row
$29 against €89 at entry; $466 against €540 list at 100K (FTMO's €439 promo narrows it). FundingPips also sells a 5K account, which FTMO does not offer at any price. On pure ticket cost this is the most one-sided section of the comparison — the remaining four sections are what the saving costs you.
2. Targets are lower — and more confusing
The 2 Step Pro asks 6% then 6%, against FTMO's 10% then 5%. But FundingPips runs five models with five different target/loss combinations, and its own Help Center states the Pro's Phase-2 target inconsistently (8% in the objectives material; 6% is the figure on the model pages and third-party listings). FTMO's objectives fit on one page and have not needed a footnote from us.
3. The systems nobody puts on the pricing page
FundingPips scores trading behaviour: the Striking System penalises scattered, inconsistent trading patterns, and the Profit Concentration Policy limits how much of your profit may come from a single day. Neither appears in the price comparison most buyers make — and the firm's homepage simultaneously advertises "No Striking System", which its Help Center contradicts. FTMO's 2-Step has no equivalent: hit the target, respect two loss limits, get paid.
4. Refund timing
Both firms can return your fee, but the distance differs: FTMO refunds the 2-Step fee with your first withdrawal. At FundingPips only the 2 Step Standard refunds at all — with the fourth reward — and the cheaper Pro model most buyers choose refunds nothing.
5. Transparency itself
FTMO publishes its legal entity, registration, full prices and exact calculation methods (its Academy explains the daily-loss formula). FundingPips publishes no legal entity on the pages we checked and no full price list; its rules live across a Help Center that occasionally disagrees with its marketing. None of that proves anything about payouts — but if a dispute ever comes, you will be glad one firm's paperwork was complete from day one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is FundingPips cheaper than FTMO?
Yes, at every size we could verify: $29 vs €89 at entry and $466 vs €540 list at 100K (FTMO seen at €439 on promo). Remember the refund asymmetry, though — FTMO's fee returns with the first payout, while FundingPips' Pro refunds nothing and its Standard waits until the fourth reward.
What is FundingPips' Striking System?
A behavioural scoring system described in FundingPips' Help Center that penalises inconsistent, scattered trading. Together with the Profit Concentration Policy (which caps how much one day may contribute), it means a FundingPips account can be restricted by how you trade, not only by what you lose. FTMO's 2-Step has no equivalent system.
Which firm is better for beginners?
FTMO — the free trial, the published-everything rulebook and the absence of behavioural scoring make it the safer first challenge despite the higher price. FundingPips rewards experienced, systematic traders who have read the Help Center first; our beginners list explains the full ranking.
Why does FundingPips not appear with a full price ladder?
Because the firm does not publish one. Prices appear per model during the purchase flow, so the figures in this comparison are the anchor prices we verified on FundingPips' own pages on 23 Oct 2026 ($29 for the 5K Pro; $466/$666 at 100K). We state "not published" rather than borrow numbers from other sites.
