✓ TRADER GUIDE — OUR PROCESS, WITH OUR REAL TEST RESULTS

How We Test Prop Firm Discount Codes

Most coupon pages copy codes from each other. The code is expired, or region-locked, or was never a discount code at all — and the reader finds out at checkout, card in hand. PropDealHub works differently: no code appears on this site until we have put it through a real checkout ourselves and recorded the before-and-after prices. This page is the full method, including the two cases that taught us the most — a code that says "Invalid" yet works, and a code whose 30% discount was not really the code's.

Real carts, never boughtBefore/after prices recordedTest date on every card
Why this page exists: our discount codes page asks for your trust at the exact moment money is involved. Trust should be checkable — so here is the checking.

The five steps every code goes through

  1. Source it from the firm, in writing. The code or tracked link comes from the firm's partner programme or a named contact at the firm — never from another coupon site, a forum, or a firm's own public sale page.
  2. Build a real cart. We open the firm's actual checkout, pick a real plan, and note the full price before anything is applied.
  3. Apply it and record both prices. The card on our site shows the exact pair — for example $37.00 → $33.30 — and the test date. If the price does not move, the code does not get published as a discount, whatever the firm calls it.
  4. Identify what the code actually is. Discount code, affiliate tracking code, or a code that auto-matches a public promo — three different things that look identical in a coupon list. Step 4 exists because of the two cases below.
  5. Publish with the date, and re-test on change. Promos expire and terms move; when a firm's pricing or a promo window changes, the card is re-tested or corrected. Cards state their test date so you can judge freshness yourself.

Case 1: the code that says "Invalid" — and works

FXIFY issued us the code PROPDEALHUB. Typed into the checkout's Discount Code field, it returns "Invalid" — and several coupon sites would have stopped there, or worse, published it anyway. Tested properly, through the tracked partner link, the same code auto-fills as an affiliate code, marked "Valid", and takes exactly 10% off: $89.00 → $80.10 on the plan we tested.

So on PropDealHub, FXIFY has no code box at all — only a link deal, labelled as one. Publishing it as a type-in code would send every reader to a red "Invalid" message and burn the trust this site runs on. The lesson generalises: "the code didn't work" and "the code isn't a discount code" are different findings, and only a real checkout tells you which one you have.

Case 2: the 30% that was not the code's

IC Funded's PROPDEALHUB is a 10% partner code. In our checkout test the price fell from $74.00 to $51.80 — a 30% drop. Publishing "30% off" would have been the easy, wrong move: the code had auto-matched the firm's public SCALE30 promo, and the extra 20 points belonged to a sale with an end date (25 October), not to the code.

Our card therefore reported 10% for the code while the promo ran, with the promo labelled separately as temporary — and the re-test after the promo ended is reported below. If a test result looks too good, the test is not finished.

Update, 26 October 2026: we re-tested after the promo ended. PROPDEALHUB now gives 40% on the same plans (2-Step $5K $74.00 → $44.40; 1-Step $10K $154.00 → $92.40). Whether that 40% is the code itself or a new promotion match is unconfirmed — we asked IC Funded on 26 October and are awaiting their reply — so the card reports the tested result, not a mechanism claim.

We never complete the purchase — the test ends at the payment step, with both prices recorded. Where a firm's terms restrict how a code may be published (one firm initially barred coupon-site listing entirely), we obtain the exception in writing before the card goes live, or the card does not go live.

SabioTrade's 30% is different from IC Funded's case: it is the partner code's own rate, confirmed in writing by SabioTrade's affiliate manager (Maksim, 20 Oct 2026), for the first purchase only, excluding Pro 3/Pro 12 bundles — no public promo sits behind it.

What we refuse to publish

  • Untested codes — including codes firms announce but we have not yet run through a checkout. They wait, or they appear as plain partner links with the words "no verified buyer discount".
  • Codes copied from other sites — if we cannot source it from the firm, it does not exist as far as this page is concerned.
  • Expired promos dressed as standing codes — a sale is labelled a sale, with its end date when the firm gives one.
  • "Up to X%" claims without a tested plan — every percentage on this site is attached to a specific plan, price pair and date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a code show "Invalid" but still give a discount?

Because two different systems share one checkout page. Discount codes are typed into a field and validated there; affiliate codes travel inside the partner link and apply automatically. FXIFY's PROPDEALHUB is the second type — typed, it is "Invalid"; via the link, it applies 10%. Our cards always say which type a deal is.

Can discount codes be combined with a firm's sale?

Usually not, and sometimes the interaction is stranger than a simple no: Maven's code cannot stack with other discounts, while IC Funded's code auto-matched the firm's running promo and produced a bigger combined discount. Both behaviours are exactly what the checkout test exists to catch.

How often do you re-test codes?

Whenever a firm changes pricing, a promo window ends, or terms are updated — and on a rolling spot-check basis in between. Every card carries its test date; if a code fails for you, the date tells you how stale the test could be, and our contact details are on the About page.

Do firms pay you to list their codes?

Firms pay standard partner commission on sales made through our links and codes — that is disclosed on every page and detailed in our affiliate disclosure. What they cannot buy is a test result: a code that does not move a price does not get published as a discount, partner or not. Two firms on our codes page still appear as plain links with no discount claim, for exactly that reason.
